Shy Bird is a cafe, rotisserie and bar open all day in Kendall Square. We are opening in July and are actively hiring for all roles. Positions available include Cooks and Chefs, Managers, Prep Cooks, Dishwashers, Counter Team, Servers & Runners, Baristas, and Bartenders. All positions are available both full and part time.
Shy Bird is a counter-service restaurant with a culture of sincere, creative hospitality. We’re striving to become a great neighborhood place with craveable food in a warm and welcoming setting that’s attractive any time of day for dining in, takeaway and delivery. For our team, we hope to bring the food, beverage and hospitality culture that defines our other restaurants, Eastern Standard & Branch Line, into Shy Bird’s casual, counter-service environment.
Please note that all non-management roles are hourly rate based with a share of gratuity or administrative fee pool. We believe this compensation approach supports sustainable wages and schedules, and growth for the entire team. It also aligns with our goals of heavily cross-training throughout the restaurant and each position supporting the others.
Shy Bird is easily T accessible (1 minute from Red Line) and we offer subsidized T passes for full time employees.
