Established Los Angeles caterer with A-List clientele seeks Catering Operations Manager to join our team. Ideal candidate is a self-starter, accustomed working in face paced setting and comfortable handling multiple tasks at once.

This position is responsible for event catering operations. Scope of responsibility includes event pack lists and rentals, front of house management, equipment department supervision, and overall event coordination.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee all staffing for events
• Work with Staffing Coordinator and Director of Administration on on-call event staff recruitment
• Create rental orders and order with third party vendors
• Create event pack lists which require the following actions: review menu and requisition proper equipment for buffet or tray passed food service as well as cooking equipment.
• Arrange table reads with culinary team to discuss menu specifics and requirements.
• Meet with equipment department to review event needs.

• Manage Equipment Department
• Oversee ongoing EQ inventory and maintenance.
• Supervise Equipment Lead to ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Oversee continued upkeep and plans for storage units.
• Event Management
• Act as onsite manager for events.
• Manage event labor to ensure labor credit margins are maintained.
• Brief Event Captains on event details while on site to ensure a successful event.
• Oversee rental installations and breakdown.
• Attend production walkthroughs with clients and sales team.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and clients.
• Assist with special projects as directed by CEO, Director of Administration, and Sales Department.

Job Qualifications
• Minimum Experience: 3 years experience as Operations Manager or Event Management
• College degree
